The scheme of "Technical Education for Local Youth in Rampur HEP" as a part of Resettlement & Rehabilitation Plan has since been implemented in Rampur Hydro electric Project. The main objective of the scheme is to help the youth to become self reliant by acquiring technical qualification. As per the scheme 35 local youth are selected every year from the project affected area of RHEP and sponsored for various ITIs of HP Govt. The scheme has been implemented from the academic session 2006-07 and since 140 students have been sponsored for various ITI courses.
