MONTHLY PROGRESS OF LUHRI HEP

Stage-I clearance of MOEF Stage-I clearance for 700 MW has been obtained from MOEF on 26.05.06.

Stage-I estimate Estimate for Stage –I activities amounting to Rs. 4.58 crores approved by CEA on 13.10.05.

Stage-II clearance of MOEF Stage-II clearance of 700 MW Luhri HEP has been obtained from MOEF on 26.05.2006.

Stage-II estimates Revised estimate for Stage-II activities has been prepared & submitted to CEA on 08.03.07 & approval accorded by CEA on 24.10.07 amounting to Rs. 3075.34 lacs.

Gauge & Discharge sites Gauge & Discharge site at Nirath & Behna-Daily ;Gauge & Discharge site at Pandoha-Weekly. Data from respective sites are being collected regularly and being sent to Design Office & HM cell.

Topographical survey of Project area Completed 30 th August 2008.

Construction Material survey & testing (Both quantitative and qualitative) Both Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis completed and all analysis found satisfactory.

Satellite Imageries including Aerial maps  Completed

Submission of modified EIA & EMP report to pollution control board All chapters of EIA & EMP have been modified as per suggestions of World Bank & shared with World Bank during their recent visit to Shimla on 17.06.10.World Bank has suggested some modificationsduring on 9.07.10 ,which have been studied and these comments are under process of incorporation in the report through the Consultant, Delhi University.
10  Submission of modified CAT plan. PCCF Shimla has approved the report. The report now has been sent to GOHP on 29.06.10 along with diversion of forest land case for onward transmission to MOEF, GOI
11 Geological exploration comprising surfase mapping,drilling, drifting and their logging etc. Drilling:- Total drilling to be carried out is 7499 mts. Out of which 5992 mts. Drilling has been completed. The balance drilling to be carried out is 1507 mts. Drifting :-Total drifting to be carried out is 1128 mts. out of which 728 mts. drifts have been excavated. The balnce work is 400 mts.
12 Geo-physical survey Completed in April ,2005 & report received from GSI.
13 FSR & Detailed Project Report The FSR was submitted to CEA on 04.10.06 and commercial viability accorded by CEA on 04-12-06. DPR finalized and submitted to CEA for Techno Economic clearance by CP deptt. Shimla on dated 30.08.07. Copy of geological addendum submitted to CEA on 9.09.09 . CEA has cleared the chapter on Geology ,water availavility and diversion flood. Additional drilling and drifting asked by CEA is in progress.
14 Submission of application for diversion of Forest land (181.69hac) PCCF, Shimla has submitted the case to GoHP on 29.06.10 for onward transmission to MOEF, GOI.But the additional Chief Secretary has sought some clarification which is being attended.
15 Acquisition of Private land required for the execution of the project Out of total land acquisition cases in all the three districts namely, Shimla, Kullu and Mandi 24 cases have been notified under section -IV, 18 under section-V for public hearing, 18 cases sent to GOHP for notification under section VI&VII, 13 notified under section-VI&VII. Being pursued.
16 Explosive Magazine Explosive Magazines.
Permanent magazines:- (Two sites i.e. Kirti & Sunni)
Portable magazinesKumarsain,Lunsu,Ogli &Nirath)
The case will be processed after diversion of Forest land to SJVN Ltd.
17 Arrangement of Construction Power. Two locations i.e. Kegsu & Khera has been finalized by HPSEB. Now HPSEB has to submit the estimate of the above sub-station including cost of land.
