I have not received the Admit Card for the Written Test. What should I do?
You can downlaod the details regarding your Test Venue and Rolll no. from the website. Bring your photo-Identity card alongwith two atetsted photographs one hour before the scheduled time of the
test at your test centre and can get the duplicate admit card there.
I've an aggregate of 54.93% in engineering and I belong to General catgory. Can I apply?
No, as per criteria as per criteria, General and OBC category candidates should have minimum 55% marks. To calculate your percentage simply divide the marks obtained by maximum marks for all the semesters.
I want to change the test center, can it be changed now?
The test centers once allotted cannot be changed.
My current residential address is temporary and it is likely to be shifted soon,
so which address I should provide?
It is advisable to furnish the permanent address, providing temporary addresses can lead to inconvenience while delivering the Interview call letters and appointment letter, if selected.
A candidate having done AMIE can apply?
No, only departmental candidates (employee of SJVN) with AMIE degree are eligible to apply in their respective disciplines.
When will you send the admit card?
Admit cards are sent by Post under Postal Certificate 21 days before the date of test at the Correspondence Address provided by you in the Application Form.
My institute awards CGPA instead of percentage marks and there is no conversion formula as per university to convert CGPA into percentage marks. What shall I do?
If CGPA is from 10-point scale, than multiply it by 10 to get percentage marks.
What could be the revised pay package?
It is difficult to anticipate the rise; however, parity between public & private sector has been stressed upon.
Can I get last years question paper or sample questions?
SJVN does not provide last year’s question paper or sample question, however few sample questions will be displayed in the instruction sheet which would be available along with the admit card sent to you.
What would be the syllabus or the areas that I should read or prepare for the test?

I’ve appeared twice in the past for SJVN selection test. Can this be a hindrance to my selection in the forthcoming test?
No, past performance of the candidate does not in any way affect his/her chance of selection this year.
I'm a Government Employee. Do I need to produce "No Objection Certificate" at the time of Interview"?
Yes, candidates employed with Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies have to compulsorily produce NOC at the time of Interview.
Will SJVN refund the application fee in case my candidature is rejected due to any reason?
The application fee is non refundable.
What would be the pattern of the Question Paper?
The Question Paper consists of 150 questions numbering 1 to 150. First 120 questions are from your respective discipline. Next 30 question are of Executive Aptitude consisting of General and Logical Reasoning, General English, General Knowledge, etc. There is no negative marking. The duration of the test is 2:30 hrs.
